About Us

About Rain Collective

Because the Middle East and North Africa is a diverse region with complex public relations and government policies, fewer traditional anti-human trafficking organizations are working to address issues of exploitation. Rain is considered a blessing in many arid places across the region and across cultural and religious boundaries. Blessing is receiving in full all we were meant to be and to have. The Rain Collective partakes in mission building in order to stimulate a movement of people seeking blessing for others. For this reason we aim to disrupt the cycle of trafficking in persons in MENA and see restoration and repatriation of previously trafficked persons.

To do this, we take a relational approach to fight exploitation and human trafficking in the MENA region, by: utilizing direct service, conducting academic research, advocating for policy change, and building partners who share resources and build new knowledge together as a collective of individuals and organizations that embody a joint mission.
