Farasha Longitudinal Research Study
We are developing a 10-year longitudinal study that will allow us to hear the voices of survivors. Farasha is the Arabic word for “butterfly” and this research aims to replicate and scale the Butterfly Project research that was ground breaking in Cambodia. The purpose of the Farasha research project is to hear directly from the participating survivors—about their lives, understandings, and experiences—so their voices can contribute towards a greater understanding of the complexities of re-integrating into their old lives after being trafficked, as well as the impact of various anti-trafficking policies and NGO programs.
